Stephen leads investment strategies, underwriting, and due diligence for hospitality projects, managing acquisitions ranging from luxury city hotels and historic resorts to complex mixed-use developments. His expertise spans the full investment life cycle, including sourcing and underwriting over 120 potential acquisitions valued at more than $5 billion, with realized IRRs exceeding 60% on EPHP’s completed projects. In addition to his role at EPHP, Stephen serves as Vice Chairman of the Independent Lodging Congress (ILC), a platform he co-founded to foster collaboration and innovation among leaders in independent hospitality. Before EPHP, Stephen honed his skills at HEI Hotels & Resorts, where he was involved in the acquisition and development of more than $2 billion in hotel real estate, and at SCS Advisors, managing a $1.5 billion portfolio of full-service and luxury properties for Walton Street Capital. He began his career at HVS International, executing feasibility studies for new hotel developments across the West Coast. Stephen graduated from Cornell University’s hotel school.
