Our founders, Erik and Stephen, grew up immersed in hospitality, gaining hands-on experience working in family-owned restaurants, as housekeepers in local hotels, and later attending Cornell’s hotel school. They learned the business from the ground up, understanding every detail from the kitchen to the front desk. After valuing and asset managing hundreds of hotels with industry leaders like HVS International, HEI, and JLL, they were ready to apply their expertise to create something of their own. These experiences laid the foundation for EPHP’s mission: to transform the industry by turning undervalued properties into vibrant, community-focused hotels that deliver authentic, meaningful guest experiences.
